Every Aldi region has a busy, streamlined Regional Distribution Centre at its core. Everything that happens here has a huge impact on our stores and customers. That’s why our Maintenance team are so important. With their help, we can deliver the right goods, at the right time to our huge network of stores.
There are three key roles in the Maintenance department. It’s no surprise that we couldn’t do without them. If anything breaks or goes wrong, we call upon our in-house maintenance team. Nothing is ever too much trouble for our trusty colleagues. So could we count on you? Night shift premium applies for any hours worked between 10pm-4am.
In this senior role, you’ll report to the Logistics Director and manage a team of Maintenance Engineers. Together, you’ll ensure that our Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) and its equipment are safe, efficient and well maintained. There are plenty of personnel responsibilities too. We’d like you to supervise the team’s performance, as well as take care of the rotas and holiday schedules.
Day to day, you’ll report and repair any defects you might find with the electrical or mechanical installations (or recommend the purchase of extra equipment). We’ll also need you to keep a close eye on the physical quality of the environment: is the vehicle wash and fuel area safe and well maintained? Is the paintwork clean and smart in the loading dock? You’re also a registered key holder who will need to attend any alarm call outs at the RDC. As you’d expect, this role is full of responsibility.Apply
As warehouses go, our Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) are up there. The equipment is first class and is designed to operate to the highest standard.
You will be the Maintenance Manager’s eyes and ears, managing a busy workshop of Maintenance Engineers. You will prioritise servicing and breakdowns determine their rotas and organise holiday schedules.
In your day to day role, you’ll be an important part of a small team that keeps everything running smoothly. Reporting and repairing problems, keeping records, you’ll use your engineering skills to keep a wide range of mechanical and electrical installations. This’ll include a large and varied fleet of material handling equipment in full working order. Your daily responsibility is to make sure our RDCs are ready to handle whatever the business needs from them.
All in all, this is a busy, hugely varied role with plenty of challenges.Apply
Our warehouses need to operate in tip-top condition, so we’ll need you to help maintain the building and its equipment. The Maintenance Manager will trust you to ensure that a large variety of machinery, manual equipment and different alarms are all working perfectly.
In terms of your tasks, there’s plenty of variety. You’ll report and repair any defects, perform health and safety checks, repair paintwork and perhaps even carry out some welding, depending on what’s necessary. Above and beyond the day-to-day tasks, you’ll be recommending maintenance firms to your boss, or the purchase of any new equipment. It’s a really challenging and satisfying role.Apply
