Transport

About Us

Ok, let’s predict your top three reasons for picking a new job in Transport. Pay? Location? Equipment? Were we right? The good news is, Aldi excels in all three.

Our pay is market-leading and we have stores all over the country which reduces the need for long-haul driving. Plus we’re investing in stunning new Regional Distribution Centres and first-class equipment. (Our Drivers are a bit in love with our top-of-the-range Michelin tyres, although they’d never admit it.) The thing is, lots of companies tick these boxes. At Aldi, the boxes are double ticked. Triple ticked even. Just to make sure.

For instance, we don’t just look after our people, they experience an extraordinary level of trust. If an unexpected problem arises, they’re given the freedom to take control, because they’re the ones doing the job – and they know it inside and out. As a result, they feel completely respected, listened to and integral to the business. This creates a very rewarding place to work.

HGV Driver (Days/Nights)

HGV Driver (Days/Nights)

Our Drivers are pretty special. We count on them to achieve fantastic levels of service as they deliver our goods to stores all over their particular region. We’re constantly striving to achieve an efficient and co-operative working environment, and Drivers play an enormous role in that.

Unusually, your time is split between two key areas – professional driving together with loading and unloading deliveries. So it’s a lot more physical than typical Driver roles as only 40% is actually spent driving.

When delivering goods to stores, you’ll understand the need to optimise space and minimise any loss. Sometimes you might need to work with store or warehouse colleagues, so safety (of our people, customers and products) is a big priority for you.

Please be aware to apply for this role you must have a Cat C+E (Class 1) licence.
