Recruitment & Training

About Us

Our people are everything to us. We’re constantly making sure that they’re operating in an environment where they feel happy, developed and extremely motivated. As you can imagine, Recruitment & Training - or as we like to call it ‘The Academy’ - is an extremely busy team indeed.

We research, design and implement cost effective and efficient tools and processes that support every stage of the employee’s lifecycle, across the business. For us, it’s about consistency; it’s about optimising employee retention and securing Aldi’s position as an employer of choice.

We know that it’s an amazing place to work but we must ensure that this message sings out loud and clear across our business – and the marketplace.

What kind of roles are there?

You’ll recognise the job titles but, at Aldi, the role itself feels very different. There’s more autonomy, more freedom to make decisions, more space for fresh ideas. We believe in streamlining, we believe in efficiency – so expect a very fast-paced atmosphere where everyone’s working full out, delivering first-class solutions to the rest of the business.

Whether you specialise in Recruitment or Training, here are the kind of roles you can expect:

  • Personnel Development Manager
  • Personnel Development Assistant

Reporting to the Director, you’ll deliver key, transformational projects that will improve the quality of either our Recruitment or Training processes across the business. Confidence and great communication skills are key. Much of your time will be spent gathering external best practice and recommending future strategies to your Director, together with the Recruitment & Training Committee.

Full of initiative, passion and a clear focus, you’ll lead any training, motivate employees, and engage with suppliers and external partners. The relationship with your Director will be important as together you’ll deliver methods and materials that ensure every project achieves maximum uptake across Aldi. Importantly, you’ll also help to ensure that Hiring Managers (and their teams) are supported by an innovative PR and Marketing strategy to ensure we’re always attracting the best people.

This role is perfect for an experienced Manager with a strong track record who’s ready to flex their Recruitment or Training talents.
