About Us

We have big plans for both the UK and Ireland. So it’s down to our National IT (NIT) teams to help us deliver. Naturally, our IT team is proud of its technical know-how. At Aldi we call on a mix of Technicians, Specialists, Analysts, Project Managers and support staff to translate the needs of our business to create IT solutions that work on a practical – as well as a technical – level.

Our work not only spans the stores and regions across the UK and Ireland. As part of an increasingly global business, we interact with our international colleagues as well – incorporating company-wide initiatives and sharing learnings. As the business expands, demanding ever-efficient ways of doing things, so do the opportunities for you.

It’s about creating even better experiences and using relevant technological advances to make that happen – giving you the chance to get involved across the end-to-end process. Standards are high; things move fast, challenges are tough. Are you ready?

What kind of roles are there?

From Director to Apprentice, there are many key levels in National IT, all working together to support this essential function. Every level offers the opportunity to introduce fresh ideas and expertise so that we can carry on improving our business.

National IT Manager

National IT Manager

Our National IT Managers are a pretty rare breed. They have the kind of technical ability that earns the respect of the team. But, as importantly, they’ve got the experience to see the bigger picture. So as well as leading and developing a team of Apprentices, Technicians, Specialists and Analysts on some major projects – whether that’s for eCommerce, Stores, Purchasing or Logistics – they’ve also got a handle on the impact the work has on the business. It calls for strategic vision, unquestionable project management, outstanding people management, tight budgetary control and the ability to handle just about anything else the business has up its sleeve.

Not forgetting that everything’s delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality. Whether you’re a technical or business Analyst (or a highly experienced technical Specialist looking for the next step up), the work you carry out will undoubtedly have a big impact on the way we do things.

Benefits

We’re good at lots of things at Aldi, but we’re particularly good at looking after our people. Yes, you’ll need to work hard and we expect you to be committed (you know, turning up on time, working hard, that sort of thing) but we’ll make every effort to show our appreciation. That’s why we offer the following benefits:

Market-leading package

Yes, the rumours are true: we pay incredibly well. But in return, we’ll ask a lot of you. That’s why we want you to feel looked after.

Nice working environment

Fresh. Energised. Attractive. Those are just some of the terms you could use to describe where you’ll work. It’s the kind of place where you can do great things. A place where your ideas will be heard and you’ll have the freedom to put them into action.

Excellent work-life balance

We always make sure our people have a great work-life balance. Plenty of time off, fantastic benefits and some decent salaries to holiday in style.

Great opportunities to develop

At Aldi we’ll value you for what you can do, rather than where you’ve come from. So we’ll accept, recognise and often implement your ideas and recognise your contribution.

Meet our IT Team

It’s not very often we get these people to stay still long enough for a chat. But here they are just for you. IT is different at Aldi and here’s why.
