We call on a mix of Technicians, Specialists, Analysts, Project Managers and support staff to turn our business needs into IT solutions. From Director to Apprentice, there are many key levels in National IT, all working together to support this essential function. Every level offers the opportunity to introduce fresh ideas and expertise so that we can carry on improving our business.

National IT Senior Manager

As an expert in your area, you will be responsible for presenting solutions and approaches as well as managing any changes to the existing business processes. You will be able to think strategically, always considering the overall goals of the department and the wider business.

Our National IT teams support Aldi by delivering our system and infrastructure needs. As a Senior Manager, you will command a large team, motivating them to drive forward a number of complex projects and offer technical support. You will build strong relationships with our International IT team, and liaise with them to ensure we're in line with the bigger picture, while making a case to incorporate business needs.

National IT Manager

Our National IT Managers are a pretty rare breed. They have the kind of technical ability that earns the respect of the team. But, as importantly, they’ve got the experience to see the bigger picture. So as well as leading and developing a team of Apprentices, Technicians, Specialists and Analysts on some major projects – whether that’s for eCommerce, Stores, Purchasing or Logistics – they’ve also got a handle on the impact the work has on the business.

It calls for strategic vision, unquestionable project management, outstanding people management, tight budgetary control and the ability to handle just about anything else the business has up its sleeve.

National IT Senior Analyst

As an NIT Senior Analyst, you will thrive on delivering IT solutions to help drive the business forward. A keen eye, motivated by operating as a technical ‘go to’ you will be passionate about leading teams to deliver. It’s the thrill you get at seeing how we can improve on what we’re doing that will help you ensure the area you oversee is considered from every single angle, managing all aspects from people, communication, stakeholder engagement to project plans. Not forgetting that everything’s delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality.

Whether you are running large or complex projects which require an advanced level of project management and technical understanding, co-ordinating your people or being our lead systems analyst the work you carry out will undoubtedly have a big impact on the way we do things.

National IT Team Leader

Our National IT teams support Aldi by delivering our system and infrastructure needs. And you'll head up a specialist team overseeing any projects that we have on the go whether that's within our Stores, Logistics or many more!

You'll be responsible for ensuring that your department is run efficiently and accurately as well as being there to motivate your team, encouraging and developing their skills.

We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. As our customers grow and change with technical advances, our own people and business need to as well.

National IT Analyst

As an IT Analyst, you don’t need to be a technical wizard as such – but you do have to be passionate about how IT solutions can help support the business. It’s the thrill you get at seeing how we can improve on what we’re doing that will help you ensure the projects you oversee have been considered from every single angle. Not forgetting that everything’s delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality.

Whether you’re a technical or business Analyst (or a highly experienced technical Specialist looking for the next step up), the work you carry out will undoubtedly have a big impact on the way we do things.

National IT Specialist

The clue’s in the title. You’re an expert in your field – whether that’s in the technical or commercial arena. It means people will come to you for advice on an IT solution at every stage of the lifecycle – from concept, to roll-out and maintenance.

We have IT specialists across every area of the business: Stores, Purchasing, Hardware and Systems, Logistics, Regions, Finance… you name it. Whilst they’re team players, they also take ownership and have great communication skills.

National IT Assistant

In this small but growing team, you’ll look after our National IT Directors. It’s a role that’s full of variety. Diary management features heavily, and you’ll help with everything from personnel to payroll and new starter admin.

You might even be asked to co-ordinate an event or get involved with a Committee. So you can imagine why we ask for plenty of flexibility, so you can juggle your changing priorities.

National IT Technician

As an IT Technician you’re our ‘go to’ person when it comes to support – whether that’s first level or project support you’ll be there to answer the team’s queries. You’re someone who knows your stuff, which will be essential to give the kind of help the teams need in this hands-on technical support role. And with technicians across all our NIT teams, it’s a great place to get a feel for the business.

Flexible and able to juggle priorities, it’s a role – once mastered – that can only lead to bigger things.

National IT Apprentice

Being a National IT Apprentice at Aldi is no easy ride as you’re expected to balance your studies with carrying out a real job with real responsibilities. Yet if IT is what you want to do, there’s no better way to get a head start. By joining as a National IT Apprentice, you’ll get a three-year introduction to the fast-paced world of retail, whilst gaining valuable qualifications and getting paid too.

It’s tough, but everyone at Aldi is willing you to succeed and there to support you through it. And for those that impress, there’s a permanent job waiting at the end of it.

Final Interview

Congratulations - you’ve almost made it. The Final Interview is the last stage of the Aldi recruitment process.
