Huge, wonderful, exciting expansion. That’s the main theme of Aldi at the moment. It means that we’re approaching capacity at our Distribution Centre in Swindon. We’ve scoured the South-West and found the perfect home for all things distribution in Cardiff.
We’re now in the process of building a state-of-the-art Regional Distribution Centre with a bigger, brighter working environment. This will play a huge role in our network, transforming the way we service a large number of our most successful stores.
What kind of roles are there in Cardiff?
We’ll be looking to expand our current team to take on the challenges of the new region in Cardiff. Within each Regional Distribution Centre there are three key areas: Transport, Warehouse and Maintenance. These work together to provide our stores with a world-class service. Before anything goes out to our stores, we perform all kinds of ‘spot checks’ on the short-life products that come into the Distribution Centre.
